Begin your exploration of Lake Life at Lake Whitney by coming down for a visit. Check in to Lake Homes Realty at Lake Whitney (5528 FM933) across from the White Bluff Resort gate. Emily Morris, Realtor, can give you great information about homes and property around the lake, including White Bluff Golf Resort.

Stay and Play at Lake Whitney.

White Bluff Resort offers condos, log cabins and two RV parks for visitors. Emily Morris can give you more information about arranging an overnight stay. The Resort offers two championship golf courses, a marina, four pools and dining at Mulligan’s on the New Course. The golf courses are open to the public; overnight guests can use other amenities.

Shop Downtown Lake Whitney

Browse for ladies wear at several shops, gift items, holiday decor, farmhouse furniture and decor, as well an antiques and collectibles. Oh, yes, you can also find a local winery shop in downtown Whitney. Be sure to check on the shop websites for hours as many stores only keep weekend hours. Here are a few of the Whitney shops.

The Farmhouse Store. 215 N. Brazos Street. You’ll recognize it by the giant Farm House sign on the side of the building. Crystal Stewart opened her shop in 2020, featuring custom furniture, handmade furniture and upscale Farmhouse-style decor and accessories.

A Daughter’s Dream. 201 N. Colorado Street. Just a block over from The Farmhouse Store. Teresa Wyatt has offered a beautiful selection of women’s clothing, handbags, jewelry and accessories for nearly four years. Gift items for all occasions and splendid holiday decor round out her offerings. But a big feature is Teresa’s knack for beautifully wrapping each purchase, making every shopper feel special. Plus she adds a homebaked cookie!

Juniper Cove Winery. 101 W. Washington Street. The tasting room for this local vineyard opened in 2020 and met with great success. It offers wine pairing events, wine tastings, and also some light sandwiches along with its wine selections.

The Rustic Heart. 108 W. Washington Street. This eclectic shop offers a wide variety of clothing for ladies and children, as well as decor items, gifts and antiques. Truly a fun shop in which to browse as you work your way around downtown Lake Whitney.

Loretta’s Stitch N Stuff. 112A W. Washington. Loretta opened her full-service quilting shop about two years ago with her granddaughter. She offers a beautiful variety of quality fabrics, notions and all things for quilting. She also does long-arm quilting on site.
