Per reports from the White Bluff POA and our Golf Courses Superintendent, Gregg Fjelland, we are getting closer to our golf courses reopening later this summer. We are completing the sprigging process of our greens. “From that point it’s usually 60-90 days before we would open them for play. With that being said, we are looking for a mid to late August opening as a best-case scenario. We will open them when they are strong and healthy enough to handle the traffic.”

Oak wilt continues to be a problem. *2 pump stations have been renovated and new control systems have been installed. *14 forward tees have been constructed to date. *$1 million in new golf maintenance equipment has been leased for 6 years *The courses should open with the new greens in late August. *Projects including the sodding of debilitated turf areas will be completed while the courses are closed.
